WeddingDressCleaner.co.uk is dedicated to ensuring that all garments and items entrusted to us are handled with the highest level of professional care and attention and returned in the best possible condition.

Definitions

Terms and Conditions: Refers to this document.

Client: The individual purchasing Services from WeddingDressCleaner.co.uk.

Business / We / Our / Us: Refers to WeddingDressCleaner.co.uk.

Website User: Any individual accessing www.weddingdresscleaner.co.uk.

Services: Professional cleaning and associated services provided in exchange for payment.

1. Introduction

1.1 It is the responsibility of the Website User to read and understand these Terms and Conditions prior to placing an order.

1.2 By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.3 By using our website and Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering a binding contract.

2. Service Standards

2.1 The Client authorises the Business to clean their wedding dress and/or any other items submitted for professional cleaning.

2.2 We reserve the right to apply any cleaning process or treatment considered appropriate based on our professional assessment.

2.3 Items submitted without care labels are processed entirely at the Client’s own risk. While every reasonable precaution is taken, we cannot accept liability for damage arising from the absence of care instructions. Even where care labels are present, some inherent risk remains.

2.4 We cannot guarantee the complete removal of every stain or mark. Wedding dresses are often constructed from delicate fabrics that may react adversely to intensive stain treatment.

2.5 We take all reasonable steps to achieve the best possible results. In approximately 95% of cases, dresses are returned clean and stain-free.

2.6 Pre-existing damage may become more visible following cleaning. This may include (but is not limited to):

  • Loose or missing beads and embellishments
  • Snags, pulls, abrasions, holes or tears
  • Frayed threads or weakened stitching
  • Missing buttons or stretched loops
  • Damaged or delicate lace

2.7 Foreign debris such as grass, hair, fibres, or organic matter — particularly around hems — may not always be completely removable. We will attempt careful manual removal where possible but cannot guarantee full extraction where fabric integrity may be compromised.

2.8 The Client must remove detachable trims or unsuitable accessories prior to cleaning. This includes (but is not limited to): belts, buckles, brooches, pins, badges, crystals, sequins, loose trims and items left in pockets. We accept no responsibility for items not removed.

2.9 For “Pre-Wedding Cleaning,” we recommend cleaning before alterations are carried out. Certain fabrics may relax slightly during processing.

2.10 Despite careful handling, some risk is inherent in professional cleaning. Fragile threads may weaken and intricate embellishments may shift. In such rare cases, we will make reasonable efforts to rectify issues.

2.11 Existing fabric weaknesses may worsen during cleaning due to instability in the material. While precautions are taken, we cannot accept liability if this occurs.

2.12 We are not responsible for the loss of glitter, glued decorations, or decorative finishes that detach during cleaning.

2.13 Wedding dresses are typically designed for single-occasion wear and are not intended for repeated cleaning. In rare cases, minor fading, shrinkage or texture changes may occur. We cannot be held responsible for such outcomes.

2.14 The Client must inform us of the age and condition of the garment prior to collection, as older dresses may be more fragile.

2.15 Footwear submitted for cleaning is processed entirely at the Client’s own risk and subject to these same Terms.

2.16 Any advice provided by the Business is based on professional experience and does not constitute a guarantee. Decisions made based on our guidance remain the Client’s responsibility.

2.17 Due to packaging and transportation, minor creasing may occur. We are not responsible for creasing caused by boxing or transit.

The Client accepts responsibility for decisions made regarding their garment.

3. Compensation

3.1 In the event of proven loss or damage caused directly by our negligence (excluding circumstances outlined above), compensation will be assessed in line with the Fair Compensation Guidelines of the Textile Services Association and will not exceed 50% of the original purchase price.

Proof of purchase must be provided. It is the Client’s responsibility to retain this documentation.

4. Order Placement

4.1 When placing an order via www.weddingdresscleaner.co.uk, the Client agrees to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date personal and payment information.

4.2 The Client is responsible for ensuring all submitted information is correct and must notify us immediately of any inaccuracies.

4.3 We reserve the right to amend pricing at any time. Revised pricing applies to new orders only and will be clearly communicated prior to confirmation.

4.4 If incorrect or incomplete information affects the quoted price, we reserve the right to adjust charges accordingly before proceeding.

5. Payments

5.1 All prices for Services are displayed on www.weddingdresscleaner.co.uk.
Full payment is required at the time of placing an order. We do not operate a deposit system. Orders are confirmed only once full payment has been successfully received.

5.2 We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order at our discretion. Where payment has already been processed and we cancel the order, a full refund will be issued using the original payment method.

5.3 If a pricing discrepancy arises due to inaccurate information provided by the Client, we reserve the right to contact the Client to resolve the matter before proceeding.

5.4 In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute raised without prior communication, we reserve the right to suspend services and recover any associated administrative or legal costs where applicable.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

6.1 Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund, provided collection or processing has not yet begun.

6.2 If cancellation is requested after collection or once cleaning has commenced, a refund may not be available.

6.4 Refunds will be issued using the original payment method and may be subject to deduction of third-party transaction fees where applicable.

7. Collection & Delivery

7.1 Upon receipt of an order, we aim to contact the Client within 2 working days to arrange collection.

7.2 Once cleaning is complete, we will contact the Client to arrange delivery. While we aim to meet agreed timeframes, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

7.3 If the Client fails to send or receive items as agreed, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable re-arrangement fee.

7.4 If services are cancelled after collection, the Client is responsible for return shipping costs. Once items leave our premises, liability transfers accordingly.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 All website content, including text, graphics, images and logos, is the property of WeddingDressCleaner.co.uk and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

9. Privacy

9.1 We are committed to protecting your personal data. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is collected, stored and used.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeddingDressCleaner.co.uk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of our Services or website.

11. Indemnification

11.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WeddingDressCleaner.co.uk from any claims, liabilities, damages or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of our Services.

12. Amendments

12.1 We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of our Services or website without prior notice.

12.2 We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the website following changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

13.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

14. Courier Services & Transit Responsibility

14.1 We are not liable for items lost, delayed or damaged while in the custody of third-party couriers.

14.2 When sending items to us, responsibility remains with the courier until delivery to our premises.

14.3 When we dispatch items, responsibility transfers to the courier upon collection from our premises.

14.4 We may provide tracking information where available but are not responsible for managing courier investigations or claims.
